eSmart

Our aim at Murchison Primary is to be an eSmart school where the smart, safe and responsible use of information and communications technology is a cultural norm. We aim to have students, teachers and the wider school community equipped to embrace the best these technologies can offer, while being savvy about the pitfalls (adapted from The Alannah and Madeline Foundation 2011).

We have been an accredited eSmart school since 2013. We undertook a rigorous process over several years to make sure that we have practices in place to help students become eSmart. We provide Parent Information, have an ICT Acceptable use Policy and our ICT sessions contain a Cybersafety component as a means to develop eSmart students.
